Mall of America and Nickelodeon Universe’s Certified Autism Designation
Bloomington’s top attraction, Mall of America and its indoor theme park Nickelodeon Universe, became a certified autism center in 2019. This means that 80% of Mall of America and Nickelodeon Universe’s guest-facing staff have completed an autism sensitivity and awareness training and are prepared to work with visitors and families with children who have autism. The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) also conducted an onsite review of MOA and Nickelodeon and helped to create sensory guides for each ride at the theme park.
